Jerilyn S. McIntyre Music Building | Central Washington University
The new music building at Central Washington University features two wings connect by a cylindrical glass lobby. One wing provides classromms, faculty and practice spaces while the second wing houses the performanc evneue and rehearsal spaces. A 600 seat concert hall is located off of the glass lobby.
In the concert hall, a curved wall and ceiling panels grow fro the stage platform and become sail wall elements in the audience chamber. These sculptural sale walls continue down the side walls and wrap around the back of the concert hall creatimng a dynamic space. The rhythm of the scultured sail wall is repeated in the small curved side parterre elements.
